Critics Choice Awards 2024: The Winners

Critics Choice Association (CCA) has announced the winners for their Critics Choice Awards, continuing the 2024 awards season. As the largest critics organization in the United States and Canada, the CCA boasts over 600 members who work in various media platforms such as the internet, television, and radio. The nominations for the 29th Annual Critics Choice Awards were filled with new records, hinting at possible surprises as the winners are revealed on Sunday, January 14. Hosted by comedian Chelsea Handler, the awards show will be aired live on The CW at 7 pm ET and will feature a star-studded lineup of presenters including Ke Huy Quan, John Krasinski, Angela Bassett, Brendan Fraser, Gael García Bernal, Sandra Oh, and Oprah Winfrey.

This year, renowned director James Mangold, known for his work on films such as Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and Logan, will have the honor of presenting the Career Achievement Award to Hollywood legend Harrison Ford. In addition, actress Margot Robbie will take the stage to present the #SeeHer Award to her Barbie co-star, America Ferrera. Speaking of Barbie, Greta Gerwig's highly praised film, which she wrote and directed, has been recognized with an impressive 18 nominations at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards. This sets a new record for the awards show. Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer and Yorgos Lanthimos' Poor Things both follow closely behind with 13 nominations each. Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon rounds out the top three with an impressive 12 nominations. Among movie studios, Warner Bros. has received the most nominations this year with a total of 25. Similarly, HBO/Max has been recognized as the most-nominated network with a total of 23 nominations.
